Car Alarms: CAR ALARM, set timer, fcc id

Question
HI I HAVE A BIG CONCERN ABOUT MY CAR ALARM. I BOUGHT MY VEHICLE ABOUT 1 YEAR AGO AND ABOUT 1 MONTH AGO MY SON( 2 YEARS OLD ) FOUND A REMOTE INSIDE THE TRUCK. HE WAS PLAYING AROUND WITH IT WHEN ALL OF THE SUDDEN THE ALARM WENT OFF. ABOUT 30 SECONDS LATER THE TRUCK TURNED ON. SO WE CAME TO FIND OUT THAT OUR VEHICLE HAD AN ALARM SYSTEM NICE. RIGHT? SO WE HAVE BEEN PLAYING AROUND WITH IT AND WE TAUGHT WE GOT THE HANG OF IT BUT HERE IS WHERE MY QUESTION TAKES PLACE.THIS HAS BEEN GOING ON FOR ABOUT 5 DAYS NOW. MY CAR TURNS ON AT ABOUT 7:20 EVERY MORNING ON ITS OWN. WHY IS IT DOING THAT? IS IT POSSIBLE THAT WE ACTIVATED THE CAR ALARM TO TURN ON AT THAT TIME EVERYDAY?? OR I ALSO TAUGHT THAT IT COULD BE MY NEIGHBOR. HE HAS A NICE LOOKING CAR AND HE ALSO HAS AN ALARM ON IT. IS IT POSSIBLE THAT WE HAVE THE SAME SYSTEM. HE LEAVES TO GO TO WORK EVERY MORNING ABOUT THE SAME TIME I DO? IS IT POSSIBLE THAT WHEN HE ACTIVATES HIS CAR , HE IS REMOTE IS ALSO ACTIVATING MINE?

Answer
Ok, we have to start by identifying what alarm & remote
starter system you have there. using the remote, please try
a site that uses the FCC ID# on the remote to identify
the manufacturer like www.remotesandkeys.com

Then locate that manufacturer to get the featues and
user manual. This would tell you how to turn off the
pre set timer that the remote start uses to go it's thing
every day at 7:20 am. (not bad to have if living in a
specially cold climate by the way!)

But in any event, you need ALL the info you can get
on it to use it safely & control it's functions.

Try to locate the manufacturer to learn more on it.

Good luck.
