Car Alarms: Galaxy 5000RS-2w-1-SP, galaxy 5000rs, 2007 mazda 3

Question
QUESTION: I have a 2007 Mazda 3.  I was looking for a good car alarm out there and I was interested in the galaxy 5000rs-2w-1-sp series and I was wondering what you think of them and what your advice is on them?  Also what components should I get for it and what do I need for it?  Do I need a bypass system for the remote starter? Should I get motion sensors and what not?  Thats all, I look forward to your advice on helping me choose the best alarm..im looking to stay around 100-120 dollars for it if possible. Thanks

ANSWER: Good system. Long range and good solid remotes. I sell them
in my stores too. Good choice, but a couple of problems here...

You will also need a bypass kit to get around the Mazda
immobilizer for remote start. The module costs 89.95
by itself, and the remote starter alarm combo that runs
139.95 makes this project out of the price range you were
seeking.

If locked into the 100-120, may want to shop ebay for
something used.

QUESTION: On ecarsecurity.com I found the system for 109.00 and a universal bypass system for 24.99..specific cars modules are 49.99.  Is this all good equipment that im shopping for.  It seems solid and you said the galaxy 5000 system is solid so I was just wondering your take on the items I brought to the plate..Thanks for your time

Answer
Sure. I sell it here too.
Make certain you get after sale
technical phone and email
support for the project too.
That's 50% of the game.

I don't provide that for folks that
shop across the street here though.

Your best bet on this is to talk directly
to the technician that will be helping
you put it in and ask all the relavent
questions that will come up so you are
prepared.

I do that for my own customers as
part of our on going support services.

But aside from that, sure, fine products.
Good prices. Go for it.

Good Luck on you project.
