Car Alarms: chip key and remote, nissan pathfinder, horror story

Question
I read a horror story about a guy who went to a dealer and had his new chip  key made up and programmed and now only one chip key works, and it was mentioned in the answer to get a bypass immobilizer kit, Well I don't want he same trouble , 2003 Nissan pathfinder with remote starter and one chip key to my name. My question, can I hide the chip key in the car inside not near the ignition and use my remote to open the door locks and start the car from outside this way Ill never loose my one chip key and I have a second spare remote if ever needed?

Answer
You can actually do this cheaper :>)
The IM05 Bypass kit would be used here to override
and keep the transponder out of the equation.
This would leave the truck unprotected at this point,
but the ignition would be problem free.
But no more "key" issues. You can then use the
key you have and likely any store bought key
as well as the transponder is now moved down to
the steering column and the ignition is now
out of the picture as fare as "coded keys" goes.

This bypass kit is 89.95 +s&h
(a new transponder key would be 150. +)

If you want one, copy n paste the link below and
I will send the notes and the unit immediately for
