Hi,

I have a 1997 Toyota 4runner. Today when I tried to start the car, the alarm would goes off. Thus the car would not start. The remote control is not working so I couldn't disarm the alarm that way.

How can I fix this without going to the toyota dealers? Is there anyway I can override the alarm system? I couldn't find the override/valet button anywhere. Is there one for this model?

There would be a valet under the dash, or part of the LED or
even on the widshield glass if also a remote starter.

Short of finding that, you would need to remove and repar
the system to get it started.

If this option appeals to you, get the wiring
chart for it at www.wirewerx.com and remove it
safely.
