Car Alarms: elite 1100, iroc camaro, brain box

Question
The wife and I have a 90 Iroc Camaro with a code alarm elite 1100. Today the alarm started acting very strange. The siren sounds weak when arming and disarming the car and the starter disable keeps activating even with the car disarmed. I read your response about using the valet switch to disarm/disable the alarm and it is not working. Any help would be great.

The low tones usually means damage to the brain or the siren.
Check the re ground wire on the brain box under the dash,
and re ground the siren as well.

If the low tone persists, then remove the system as it is
damaged and is no longer useful. Replace with it with
a fresh system and go on from there.
