Car Alarms: ScyTek 5000RS Remote Start Intermittent, pontaic grand prix, valet mode

QUESTION: On my 2001 Pontaic Grand Prix. Came with 5000RS. The remote start is Intermittent. I know when it wont work as the parking lights do not flash when locking or unlocking. Seems like tis it the steering collumn area. There is a pushbutton under the dash, I fixed this a couple months ago and thought I had it working, but doesnt again. The shock sensor is mounted on the steering column losely. Bout all the info I can give you.

ANSWER: Try key on, press and hold that button
until you get a chirp, or chirp chirp.
This is toggling into and out of override/reset.

This should do it for this situation.

QUESTION: That will put it into valet mode. It wont fix the remote start issue. Is my question not explained good? I'm trying to fix the issue so that everthing works right.

Well it would not function correctly if ALREADY IN valet.
I was trying to toggle to reset to see if it had any effect.
If no joy,

At this point I would inspect the inline fuses on the door
lock relays to see if all is right there, then the connect
points etc... to track down the issue.
