Car Alarms: Ford ranger, ford ranger, obsticle

Question
QUESTION: My husband has put a 1999 ford ranger motor in 1997 ford ranger xlt. It won't start, he thinks anti-theft sytem is keeping it from starting, how can he bypass anti theft?
     Thank you

ANSWER: The PATS system is engaged, and the old ignition
keys programmed to this car will be needed to
do a bypass. If they do not exist, I have no fix
for this to offer. Ford is your next stop.

If you do have them, the 555fw bypass kit is
suggested to remove this obsticle, and alow
for the new engine to perate.
