Car Alarms: Please help 01 Impala with audiovox alarm, key fobs, canned response

Good day! We have an 01 impala we just purched. It is equipped with an audiovox alarm. The audiovox key fobs are inop, good batteries, thay just dont work?!?! We would like to reprogram the factory keyless fobs, However we cant get them to work. We have followed the proper instructions. Could this be from the aftermarket alarm?
