Car Alarms: problem with gt425 alarm, rechargable battery, internal battery

Question
QUESTION: i have a gt 425 auto alarm, which suddenly doesn't make any
noise. When i arm it, flashes ok, the beep is very weak adn
doors are locking. If i press the panic button, or trigger
the alarm, flashes are working, but siren is extremely low.
I changed yesterday with a new one but the problem is
remaining.

ANSWER: If you had alot of rain or drove through
high standing water, you may have "drowned"
the siren.

Best thing then is to dry it out and or replace it.

The other idea here is the ground is bad.
In this instace, re grounding the siren
is suggested.

Let me know what you discover.

QUESTION: i tried to dry it,althouth it doesn't seem to be wet
An other idea it came to me, is it possible the internal
battery tha it has, needs to be replaced; I want to inform
you that i disconnected the battery of the car for 2 hours
and after that all i have this problem. I measured the
internal rechargable battery and instead of 7,2 volt it is
1,95 V to 2,05 V . I assume that it can't charged any more,
so Monday i'll go to replace it also. Just wondering, is it
possible to be so simple the problem;

Answer
Sirens go bad over time. It's a fact. :>(

So, you can take out the siren, drill a small hole
in the horn part to see if the is water still
in it, then re attach and try again,
or simply go to the nearest stereo/car alarm shop
to put in a replacement.

Please look at the ground point also on the alarm
brain to make certain it's in tip top shape as well.
