Car Alarms: Checkmate Alarm - I need to uninstall, web telephone, www boards

My Checkmate alarm has three buttons one long button and two shorts ones, somehow it's not automatically activated so it's sucking the juice from my battery. I want to uninstall it, is it as simple as finding the wire and clipping it with a scissors? In the meantime does anyone know where I find the manuel so I can find out what buttons I need to hit to disengage the automatic alarm, so that it would save me from zapping the batttery power.
