Car Alarms: Alarm problems, ford galaxy, search bar

I have a 2005 ford galaxy. When ever i try to lock the car with the remote it some times locks then does not work again. I have change the batteries on the remote and that did not help. I have even reset the alarm. What i picked up was that when i stand at different parts of the car and press the remote button constantly it some times works. What do you think the problem could be? When i went to ford they told me that the alarm is controlled by radio frequency.
