Car Alarms: Chevy Passlock system, chevy malibu, engine cranks

Question
QUESTION: I have a 2002 chevy malibu with passlock system. It occasionally won't let me start the car until I turn key on for 10 minutes then turn it off, then the car will start. It is also running very rough, all of the time. Could the rough running engine be due or related to the passlock problem?

ANSWER: Yes the fuel rail is cutting off, causing the engine to run that
way. It's very annoying for late model GM vehicles,
like yours, Impala & Monte Carlo etc...

The fix?
The PLJX bypass kit is what you need here
for remote starter applications or,
to terminate your PASSLOCK system for good.

The only thing you need for this to work is:

THE VEHICLE'S ENGINE MUST BE
ABLE TO START AND RUN FOR AT LEAST
1 MINUTE TO ALLOW FOR THE PLJX MODULE
TO BE PROGRAMMED!

However, if this is NOT your situation,
and the engine cranks & tries but does NOT turn
over, then you would also need 2 relays
and sockets, plus the proper resistor to get it
to crank and start and keep running,
THEN you would install the self learning PLJX module
to KEEP PASSLOCK from ever engaging again.

Just doing the relay and resistor is temporary
because it is subject to variance changes due
to extreme temperatures.

The PLJX Bypass Kit corrects these variance's
automatically, thus keeping the passlock safely
inoperable.

So to sum it up, this will help as long
as you can follow direction and can have this
interfaced correctly to solve the issue.
*We suggest taking it to a local car alarm
remote starter/stereo installer to have this
done as GM service WILL NOT do it.
They're interest is in FIXING the PASSLOCK
issue, not circumventing, getting around or,
bypassing it for you. There's no money in
that for them!

& that's really all there is to it.
Once purchased, I will forward all working
notes for your vehicle, the .PDF for the PLJX kit
for your study prior to installation,
and it will be shipped within 24 hours.

When ready. click or copy, cut n paste
the link below that best fits your situation:

If the vehicle's engine tries to crank, but does NOT engage/
turn over. You will need both the bypass kit, and
the relay application to get it started and bypassed
for good. This option is 85.00

HOWEVER...

If your vehicle's engine can start, even after waiting 10 minutes
before it will crank over on it's own, you need the PLJX bypass kit
by iteself. 69.95.
