Car Alarms: Thinking of having keyless entry installed..., nissan 300zx, keyless entry system

Question
Okay, I have a 1985 Nissan 300zx Turbo, Manual Transmission and with the driver's side power assisted door lock and original factory alarm system from Nissan circa 1985. With the system parameters, if the master key is inserted into the driver's side door and turned clock-wise, both the driver's side door and passenger's side door lock and then the factory alarm is set. Now my question is: if I have a professional of any nondescript aptitude install a keyless entry system for the doors and a keyless power-assisted trunk release solenoid, will the alarm still set regardless of the key being inserted in the driver's side door or would I still need to use my key every time I want to "arm" the car? Before I go spending $500 to have a keyless system installed I'd rather post a question than get to the garage and have no direct answer to this question, given the fact that the system is a factory original, I don't know if you can help me. I appreciate any assistance. THANK YOU!!

Answer
Yes, the door lock/alarm from Japan in this
case will arm and disarm once the door locks
are installed.

The physical action of the door locks moving
will trigger the factory alarm to disarm
automatically.

The price is a bit high on your install
there, but if done flawlessly, and only once without
the need of a revisit for tweeking the actuators,
then I guess that'll be fine.

For reference, this job in my shop is $145.00 for the equip.
(60.00 for the central door lock kit, 65.00
for the heavy duty trunk kit, + 20.00 for relays
and sockets etc... needed to do it right.)
45.00 for the deluxe keyless entry kit
to control the door locks and truck. (www.keylesscar.com),
Plus 210.00 for the labor. (73.00 per door)
for a total of 400.00 +state tax.

Just wondering what the extra money is for?

Go for it.
