Car Alarms: 2006 Ford Taurus Panic alarm, 2006 ford taurus, alarmtek

Question
Since Christmas Eve 2008, through last night 1/4/2009 the car's "panic alarm" has gone off. At first, I assumed it was low batteries in the little black 4 button keyless entry switches. So I removed the keyless batteries from the Keyless entry devices. No luck. The alarm still went off at randomly night. (Never during the day.) I have been told it is a "hood switch", which makes no sense to me. This model does not have a "Car alarm". It has only the manual "panic alarm" on the "keyless entry" switch. How can I fix it or disable it?

Answer
You are mistaken. Actualy this vehicle has two(2)
OEM/FACTORY security devices.
1 is for headlight flashing/horn honking deterent.
the other is the securelock/PATS (PASSIVE ANTI THEFT SYSTEM)

The first detects any battery drain (the hood switch is
one such example). The PATS is the immobilizer in the ignition switch
along with the coded immobilizer ignition keys.

This would shut down the fuel injector rail. It's in there,
I promise. If this is the trouble, Ford will need to reset it.
If it's the other, then have all entry way trigger
points checked to be certain all work, and all intances
of battery/current drain are stopped & repaired , or it
will continue.

Sorry about that.
