Car Alarms: car alarm, pontiac firebird, neon lights

Question
QUESTION: I have a 1994 pontiac firebird and it seems to be the culprit of draining my battery literally overnight. What do I do to disengage the alarm myself....Help in ohio   Thank you.

ANSWER: Hmmm, not an alarm or security issue I think.
Have a mechanic check the charging system in this car.
If the battery is good, all things being equal,
it sounds as if the power system has troubles & about to quit.

Again, best idea is to have the trouble diagnosed.

Good luck.

QUESTION: Question what is and where is the charging system? Is this expensive work? The power system??? see I charge it have replaced Battery, alternator, starter. The guy before who owned it but in neon lights and I'm not sure if he had the alarm put in but it looks real plus he put in a whole new stereo system. So why does it drive fine after charged and fails after what is this systems you are speaking of and cost, can I do it? No I'm sure this is serious sorry for my ignorance Thank you with your help I'm at my wits end thank you alot Pamela

Answer
Could simply be a matter of Too Much power being pulled from the
battery, or an open relay. Can't say without inspection.

But my guees is that the combination of ALL the power
draining devices he put in that are causing a strain.

Take it to a good wiring stereo store.
And yes, it will cost you to determine just what it
is that's doing the nasty on your battery.

Sorry.
