Car Alarms: 92 Corsica Alarm Malfunction, chevy corsica, valet mode

Question
I purchases a '92 Chevy Corsica as a back-up car 6 months ago, has worked out really well until: I tried to start it and the car alarm went off, not allowing me to start the car.  I didn't even know I had an alarm, I do not have a remote. Eventually it stops going off, but the car won't start.  There is power and lights in the dash, radio/heat everything.  the lights (hazards?) flash and the alarm was very loud...my brother cut the wires leading to the horn so now its a silent alarm! But the car won't start.  Please help me?

Answer
Ok, re attach the siren.
Then should be fairly easy. To try to disarm it,
look under the dash area for a button or,
a toggle switch. When you locate it, turn on the
ignition key, press and hold in the button (little
spring loaded micro button, red or black possibly)
until the alarm chirps 1 time. This should over ride
the system, and only the keyless entry part,
if installed, would still be operating.
The LED (light emiting diode) light in the dash
should also go on solid.=VALET/OVERIDE

This stops the alarm except for the keyless
entry if installed. Once in Valet mode,
it will allow the car to start and operate
like there was no alarm at all.

That should solve the troubles for now.
Repeat the steps to toggle back to valet when needed.

Let me know what you discover.
