Car Alarms: alarm siren not making any sound, ford windstar van, keyless entry systems

hello, I have a 1996 ford windstar van my keyless alarm system AUTO-MATE w/2 button remote. the doors lock and unlock the lights flash as they should however the siren does not chirp at all i cannot figure out if the horn is shot? or it's set wrong? i read the other person e-mail about his daughters and I noticed you stated the LED staying solid.if it does not could it be the system not set? should i be able to set LED in a solid state? i am not sure the horn itself is loose and the mounting is old but, i do not see any disconnet wring under the hood can you help me? thanks
