Car Alarms: Toyota corolla 2009 and code alarm 650, now it does not start, toyota corolla, code alarm

Question
QUESTION: I am leasing a toyota corolla 2009, automatic trans. It needed alarm and remote starter, so I went to my local alarm dealer and I have them installed a code alarm 650 (pretty cool!)...

I worked ok for 2 weeks...

now the car does not work!

something that I have notice, is that the security light from the car is not lighting anymore...and now the car will not start...well actually it starts but shuts off immediately!...

according to the alarm place they told that somehow I have "lock out" the car... but HOW??? the funny thing is that he ask me to override the alarm, but I could not, because it does not have an override button!!!, so he asked me to take the fuse that is closed to the battery, which I did, but now, not even my factory remote will work...so, I think they have done some wrong wiring....

anyways.... I have taking the car to the dealer and they are investigating the issue as we speak... but If the problem is alarm related, I have to pay for the repair, but if it is not alarm related they will take care of the issue...so now my new worry starts...what if it is alarm related? would the alarm company pay the bill? what if it is something major, like the computer or so???

What should I do???.....

ps. the car has only 550 miles.

ANSWER: The install was obviously done wrong.
I'd start by having the technician either go over
the work done, or remove it.

Let me know what you end up doing.

QUESTION: Update:

I just spoke to the dealer, and unfortunately they cannot override the alarm system, so they have to remove it and get the car back in factory condition, and then try to figure out was going on, the scanners cannot work properly(according to them) because they cannot overide it. I ask them if I should tow the car to the alarm place and have them take the alarm out, and he told me that they prefer to do it so they can inspect their actual installation, but that it will cost me $320 dollars for them to do it. and if I take it to the alarm place and have them take it out, they will still have to go through the whole system and do the inspection and it will cost like $280, so I told them to just take it out and get the car back in factory condition.

Question: should the alarm give me a full refund? (i installed 2 weeks ago)
also, should the alarm company paid for the repairs the car is going thru?

definetely lesson learned, I am going to end up spending as much if I would have put a factory alarm in the car.

Sucks!!!!!

Thanks!

Omar

Answer
I won't advise you on the next course of action here.
That's up to you. Since I can not see the work and check the connections myself, that would be an uninformed opinion.

I suggest you take it to another car alarm guy to
check the work and suggest any kind of fix.

Good luck.
