Car Alarms: 94 Camry Alarm & Start Issue, valet mode, dash area

Question
I replaced new battery and everytime opening car door factory alarm will come off for awhile. I can't start the car (no cranking noise) as if the alarm system disable the ignition. Please show how to by pass the factory alarm that I never use and have the system start again.

One more issue is that in the last winter and this winter with previous GOOD batteries, it hard to start the car in the morning (cold) but in hot weather it's OK. Is it "starter" issue? How can I test it?

Thanks,
HOANG

Answer
Ok, we know from
this description (good one!)
that it's an after market system.

To try to disarm it,
look under the dash area for a button or,
a toggle switch. When you locate it, turn on the
ignition key, press and hold in the button (little
spring loaded micro button, red or black possibly)
until the alarm chirps 1 time. This should over ride
the system, and only the keyless entry part,
if installed, would still be operating.
The LED (light emiting diode) light in the dash
should also go on solid.=VALET/OVERIDE

This stops the alarm except for the keyless
entry if installed. Once in Valet mode,
it will allow the car to start and operate
like there was no alarm at all.

The next step is if wanting to remove it,
you contact a local technician to
locate it, and affect neccesary service
for you.

That should solve the troubles.

On the starter, cold mornings usually need a tach
wire attached. If your was not, by attaching it,
and setting your remote starter to tach mode,
would solve your hard starter problems.

Let me know what you discover.
