Car Alarms: Au-94 prox sensor alarm, alarmtek, shock sensor

Question
Several years ago I bought a Samurai soft-top with an Au-94 prox sensor alarm and motion detector. The previous owner did not have the instructions or manual for operating it so he never used it. When I turn it on it works great. My problem however is that is seems to be too sensitive. There is a Phillips head adjustment knob that I have tried to use but does not seem to affect it any. When it is on and someone that is parked next to goes to get in their car it goes off before that person is in the car, or when I test it in the driveway, I stand there for about 6-10 seconds and it goes off.

Where can I get instructions, or how do I desensitize it.

Answer
Counter clockwise is off or less sensitivity.
That being said, if that does not work, and it also
has a shock sensor wired into it, remove the shock
sensor. The two are making it too sensitive.

If no other sensor is there, then replace it.
It's probably time for a new one at this point
depending on where it's mounted, heat/cold exposure
etc...

I hope this helped some.
