Car Alarms: MaxiGuard replacement, dodge ram 2500, light fuse

Question
Last week my 2000 Dodge Ram (2500 Cummins) started doing strange things. The dome light would stay on, the horn would beep (kinda like on a timer). The problem is also intermittent. These problems would go away if I pulled the dome light fuse, but that would stop other functions (wiper delay, stereo controls on the steering wheel, auto door locks...). I also noticed the aftermarket alarm LED would stay on when the ignition was off. I haven't used the alarm for years as the remote stopped working.
Hoping that the LED was an indication that the Maxiguard Warrior 3 (4 button) was the cause of the problem, I just finished removing it and all it's components (window up & down modules, and auto door locks).
My questions are, what brand & model alarm would you suggest I replace this one with. I really liked the remotes on the MaxiGuard components, as they were small. And also, in the event that the alarm was NOT the problem, any suggestions??

Thanks for any input

Answer
Damn. Too late.
Should have left in the window mods and lock wiring.
It's the alarm control head you need to replace Bill.
Not all the cool stuff it controlled man. Geez. :>( more work now.

Ok, go put all that back in, save the brain box for
the MAX and then you can select from anything out there that
suits your needs now.

I have a store online you can look at to get some
ideas of what's in my mind on this subject.

If' it's me, I lean toward the Scytek models.
They do very well on most American & Japanese
vehicles.

Go look around and if I can help more,
