Car Alarms: New Auto Start but Defrost Wont Stay On, 2004 nissan maxima, nissan maxima

We just installed a new ProStart 2 way auto car start on a 2004 Nissan Maxima.  All is working well except we are confused why the defrost will not become enabled when using the auto start, but rather waits until you enter the vehicle and insert key and press on brake.  Is there anyway around this to have the defrost work upon auto start?  (one of the main reasons we installed it)

Answer
You would need to relay the defrost wire directly.
See positive relay at www.relayhelp.com but not advised
as it is NOT a designated switch that comes on automatically
when the acc wire turns on the AIR/HEATER. It is actually
a temp/timed device that needs to be turned on manually when
needed. Not easy to do, but it can be set up.

I'd pass on it though if it was me. Could be long term circuit
damage if the power is wrong.
