Car Alarms: Car Alarm Bypass for 2003 Jeep Liberty Renegade, jeep liberty renegade, deimler benz

Question
QUESTION: I just recently got a Skytek Galaxy 5100RS Anti-theft system. My car (a 2003 Jeep liberty renegade) isn't clear on an immobilizer. I can lock my car til it honks once, then if i try to open it from the inside NO alarm or anything goes off. Also, I don't think it has a chip because I made a copy of my key at work w/o a chip and it works fine. So, doess my car have an immobilizer? and will I need a bypass module?

ANSWER: Yep, it sure does need one.
See the following guide link:

I carry them loaded with
the proper Firmware.
They run 89.95 + s&h.

QUESTION: Well, that site says that my car can have the alarm abled and disabled (2003 Jeep Liberty)~ I have the Renegade edition which isn't listed. But I have no alarm! I have a panic button on my remote, but no alarm it just honks when you lock it. So what would the need of a bypass be? And where is my immobilizer?

Answer
Ah, ok, the simpler answer to this question is
all Jeeps post 2001 have the Deimler Benz/Chrysler-Jeep
immobiliser sensor/reader fuel cut off system
located in the ignition switch.

Including yours.

The bypass needed for this project is the
XK03 - Programmable Platform #03: Doorlock & Alarm Interface
Firmware: CHDL4 1.00

If not, please let me know what you discover to solve
all the issues that will arise if you did not use
the correct one. That would be important info to know.

Then I can pass that info on to all the others who ask.
