Car Alarms: alarm problems, jumper cables, keyless entry systems

Question
hello i have a 1988 monte carlo with an automate alarm with remote start. i recently had my car painted and the battery drained during the process. i hooked jumper cables up to start my car and with the keys not in the ignition my dash lights came on. they flashed and the car tried starting itself . it wouldn't start though. i tried to auto start it after trying the keys and it started. unfortunately the car drained the battery. i replaced the battery an checked the alternator, which is good. same thing happened, it drained the battery . what can i do? can i dis arm the alarm or could i leave all the wires in place and get a new brain for the alarm? anything u could suggest would be greatly appreciated. thankyou for ur time
