Car Alarms: 2001 gmc jimmy security system, gmc jimmy, passlock

'01 gmc jimmy[s15] car opened by us [locksmith]. security system locked out
radio, leaves flashing security lgt in dash.need to reset system. [missing code]
any leads, info would be appreciated. tom

Ok, The PASSLOCK in this car has engaged.
It shut's down the fuel rail and needs to
be reset at GM.

You can attempt to put the key in the ignition,
turn it on to just before cranking and then leaving
it that way for 10 mins. After that,
some PASSLOCK systems will re learn the code
and allow for starting. But if not, the system
will either need to be seen by GM or, any
mechanic that has the GM reader writer.

No other quick fixes I am afraid.
