QuestionHi, I have a 97 4Runner with Karr alarm installed by dealer during purchase that year so you can guess it's a older model. A month ago wife let the battery drain completely in the truck. After replacement alarm was no longer chirping when activating/deactivating with remote. I thought maybe a backup battery had run dry so I disconnected the ribbon pin cable from the unit, opened it and of course no battery. Put cable back and now unit does not appear to activate alarm mode when toggling the on/off switch with ignition key at ON (active indicator LED does not switch on). The alarm is acting strangely so is there a way to reset it? I did do anything in the wrong order? When I plug in the ribbon cable with key out of ignition I get horn going off continuously so before I plug in ribbon cable back into unit I have ignition key in ON position. thanks for your help!
