Car Alarms: Remote start/car alarms, chevrolet avalanche, car alarms

Question
I have a 2004 Chevrolet avalanche with a factory alarm and keyless entry and I am thinking of having a remote start installed. I want the remote to work all of the above on one remote. Is this possible? And what would be the best system to have put in? Should I use the Chevrolet dealer or an after market installer? Is there any drawbacks or negatives to having this installed?

Answer
Well adding remote start on your current keychain remote won't work on the Avalanche. This system depends on a negative door lock outout to work. The Avalanche has Chevy's multiplexing door lock system and will need to be addressed.

The Best system here for basic interfacing, is the
ASTRA 1000 2 way, and a door lock/PASSLOCK 2 bypass kit.

This would then take over the duties your system is doing, give you up to 1500 foot range, and be a very effective tool for you.

See this at REMOTESTARTCENTRAL.com . & Bypass kit info at www.PASSLOCK2.com

and parts needed to make it so.
