Question I have a 94' 3000Gt with a prestige alarm system added to it. Last night, on my way to watch a football game, driving across town i smelt really hot wires, and a little smoked rolled out from under my hood. After checking everything, i found nothing out of the ordinary. So i went to the game. As i was heading to my car, i remote started it, let it run for no more than 30 sec. and it died on me?!? then automatically restarted itself within 10 seconds. Wierd?! it caught my attention, but i didnt think much. I had something to do, so i turned off my car, and went back inside. ABout an hour later, i came back out, and went to unlock my car and the running lights (blinkin when lock/unlock) were REALLY dim. And after ulocking/locking again, the car alarm went into a Constant chirp mode. (wont stop). And the remote is not working to unlock/lock anything. I got into the car, and thier no power to windows, or ignition when in the ignition on. its as if my car has locked up when the ignition is "on". But the radio, headlights, tailights all work great. So the battery is not dead at all. So my question is.. Why would my alarm be constantly chirping, and my ignition in a lock mode? Valet button ligbt is rapid blinking.. and wont react to anything i do with it. What do i do!?! car is not funtionable.

Seriously, not kidding. You got lucky up to this point,
but something under there is not right. And if you
leave it alone and hope for the best, I don't think
you are going to enjoy the results.
Have it done ASAP. Then repair and start over.
