QuestionQUESTION: I HAVE A 99 DURANGO, 5.2 ENGINE, 4WHEEL DRIVE WITH 160000 MILES ON IT. THE ONLY PROBLEMS I HAVE ENCOUNTERED ARE THE GAS GUZZLING AND THE AIR CONDITIONER. I HAVE REPLACED THE COMPRESSOR, DRYER AND THE EXPANSION VALVE. FOR A PERIOD OF TIME IT COOLED FAIRLY GOOD.
SUDDENLY I NO LONGER HAVE COOLING IN THE FRONT BUT I DO IN THE REAR. MY MECHANIC CANNOT SEEM TO FIND WHAT THE PROBLEM IS.

ANSWER: the durangos have not been vary good at cooling off u cant get much better then what U have.

AnswerSorry if u dont like my answer but this is a normal issue that people have been complaining of on the durangos sense they have come out in 98 and still had the same issue through 03 then they changed the whole design of them. U have a large cabin and a smaller evap then what it can really handle its a design flaw what they should have done is but the evap that is in the mini van that can handle the larger air space.
As for the ad for my business u take it how ever u want its a signature that goes on every one of the 17,000 answers that I have made sense joining this site and offering my time for free.
