Car Alarms: Automate am9, keyless entry systems, prong plug

Question
hi i have an automate am9 remote start and i have a couple questions for you.. my first one is about the status led that comes on when the alarm is set.. When my alarm was installed i didnt use the factory led that came with it and i ended up losing it. I since bought an LED for car alarms that has the 2 prong plug and i plugged it in and it didnt work.. i turned the plug backwards because i figured the LED had polarity, and also, nothing>> i am wondering if you knew what voltage these LEDs work off of, so i could possibly try a different LED.. my second question is, my alarm is hooked up to auto start, and ive recently had problems with it when it... it wont start when i turn my key over.. i have to remove the fuse then  re-install the fuse, then turn the ignition off then back on for it to work properly, but once its started, i have to repeat these steps.. thanks for the help, Jon
