Car Alarms: alarm dead, brain box, battery terminals

Question
QUESTION: I have a car alarm and the remote stopped working completely. My car at the time was armed and I use my key to enter the car and tried to disable the alarm using the override buttom while the siren was blaring. I disconnected the siren and continued trying to disable the alarm but to no avail. I tried disconnecting the battery terminals several times but this did not disable the alarm. Now the alarm isn't working (no flashing park lights, no LED indications, no siren) and my car still cannot start. How do I disarm the alarm and be allowed to start my car. Did the alarm shut down completely when it realized it was being tampered with?

ANSWER: Describe the valet/override procedure you are trying.

ALARMTEK

---------- FOLLOW-UP ----------

QUESTION: What I tried was to turn the ignition key to the ON position (not the start position) and press and hold the valet/override button for 10 seconds and then turn the key to the OFF or LOCK position. That didn't work so I turned the key to the same ON position and press and hold the valet/override button indefinitely but the alarm still kept going off.
Oh I found the ignition fuse blown. I will try to get it replaced. I guess this is why the alarm just stopped working. But I take it the alarm will still be armed after I replaced the fuse.

Answer
Hmmmm, then you may have a power issue under the dash.
I would get the wiring chart for the car, then did out the alarm manula to trouble shoot the issue. The valet switch is the controller here.
Without it working, you would need to unplug the brain box and try to reset it back to working condition if all the power issues have been crossed off the list.

Start with getting the wiring for the vehicle to work backwards
on this.
