Car Alarms: KARR Alarms resold by car dealer, cotati ca, karr alarm

Dear Alarmtek,
I recently purchased a 2007 Toyota Tacoma equipped with a KARR alarm from a reputable Toyota dealer. My question is:
What exactly did I get? The truck had a factory "panic" button remote which does operate the horn and lights.
I tried unsuccessfully to find a KARR website to get a description of their system.
Can you tell me what the KARR system does that makes it worth $500 to the buyer?
Also, can you tell me how to tell whether or not I even have a aftermarket security system.
There is no flashing LED  in the cab.
