Car Alarms: disabeling car alarm, jeep grand cherokee, alarmtek

1997 jeep grand cherokee.I want to bypass alarm.I did the ground thing with the purple/yellow wire,it didn't help.I don't see any add on buttons under dash but there is an l.e.d. with a little female plug that has 6 wires going to it.I tried jumping them in any number of directions still no bypass.Key fob says SECURITY on back w/part # AT-555.What am I missing? Thanx 4 any help!!!

This one also has the transponder based fuel cut off
system. A rest from Jeep is needed to bypass and
go back to the pre condition prior to it's malfunction
or breech. In other words, you did not turn off
the ENTIRE system.

Jeep will need to inspect and reset.
