Car Alarms: audi/conlog/remote not working?, starter wire, audi a4

QUESTION: hi, I've bought a audi a4 on a p reg with a conlog imobiliser/card, the remote fob was working, but then the car battery went flat for 3 days, put brand new battery on and since then the fob wont work, I've got a red light  and put new batteries in but i can only lock and unlock from the key, thats ok but the alarm goes of everytime i open a door until i put the card/fob in its hole, the central locking works straight away when fob inserted but not with the button any more, any ideas please

QUESTION: hi thanks for reply, i went to audi and they said it wasnt one of there alarms that it was indeed an aftermarket one normally used on vw, but as im learning they all use the same stuff anyway! i will follow your advice and hope  it works

Well, that being said, simple extraction from
the starter wire in the Audi's ignition switch
would like be your answer.

Get the wiring chart for your car at www.wirewerx.com
and then cut out the add on card system, repait the starter
wire to pre install condition, and be happy.
