Car Alarms: alarm system, alarmtek, real nightmare

i have a town and country lx 2003 crysler. i have decide to install a security system on my car but my concern is that the car came with a keyless remote to open the doors all 5 doors a to lock themmy question is that if i install a new system do i need to dasable the old one or i can install only the alarm and keep the old system to lock and open the doors

Yes, and this vehicle is VERY dificult for a novice
installer. I STRONGLY suggest you get a professional shop
to do this work for you.

The door locks and factory alarm are resisted positive triggers
and use the same wire. many relays and resistors are
required. Best bet on this is to for go any pride in
"do it yourselfness" that you may have, and pay the
pro's to do this one. You will be happier.

If it was a Honda or, Toyota, I'd say have at it.
But this particular vehicle can be a real nightmare if
unsure of your skills.
