Car Alarms: Hornet 474P Remote Fob, keyless entry systems, grey button

I purchased a car here recently in the UK and it has a Hornet 474P Remote Alarm Fob on the keyring for locking/unlocking etc. It has 3 buttons; on the left a grey button with lock/unlock symbols, on the right another grey button with "AUX" on it and in the centre a circular yellow button with a " * " on it. I can lock and unlock OK but when entering the car and starting up with the key, it suddenly locks me in and anyone outside wanting to get in can't open the door until I switch off the engine. Can I correct this?
