Car Alarms: automate car alarm, keyless entry systems, car alarms

I reciently purchased a used ford f250 and located sticker on firewall indicating a remote starter, also antena on windshield, and found to have complete alam in under dash but no remotes?>..  how do i know which remotes to purchase and how to program? is there a number to check on th e"brain" or somewhere else?.. also there were 4 wire located on firewall near driver side cut and hanging?  i am guessing the used dealer cut these due to not having remotes?... any help would be appreciated thanks joe in pa
