Honda: 94 Honda Civic EX - AC fan problem, digital multimeter, honda civic ex

Question
I checked the fan switch and that wasn't the problem.  A
couple more questions:

1) How do you know which fuse is for the blower?  Does the
  color identify it?

2) Where exactly is the blower motor located and what does
it look like when I see it?

Thanks,
Gibby

Question -
I have a '94 Honda Civic EX, which has a problem with the AC fan.  Sometimes the fan works just fine.  Then if I turn the car off and turn it back on, it is highly likely the fan will not turn on.  When I push the AC button, I can hear the compressor kick on, so I know the AC is fine.  I thought maybe I needed a new blower motor, yet when I looked behind the glove compartment, I was unable to find it.

1) Does it sound like I need a new blower motor?  If so, where is it located and what does it look like when I see it?

2) Do I potentially have a short somewhere?  If so, where's the best place to look to prove that?

3) Is it the fan switch?

Thanks,
Gibby

First off, I'd check the fuses.  Then, if nothing shows of that, I'd go for the fan switch.  Use a Digital Multimeter to check that the switch is functioning properly.  After that you can go for the motor, but it sounds like that's not the problem.

Good luck,
B.

Answer
You'll have to check the owner's manual for the fuse locations, it's there, just keep looking.  As for the location of the blower motor, turn the car on with the engine NOT running.  Get under the hood and listen for the motor, if you can get it to run.
It may be very difficult to find because of the interior trim...if that's in the way.

Good luck,
