Car Alarms: Viper Alarm Randomly Not Responding, keyless entry systems, valet mode

Question
My Viper Alarm doesn't always respond when I try to disarm it. I keep finding myself sitting on the curb mashing the unlock button repeatedly for 20minutes straight sometimes before it responds. Once it does, is seems fine. This happens several times a week now so I was forced to put it in Valet Mode so that I could at least bypass the auto-kill feature and start my truck. This behavior happens with both of my remotes and with new batteries in them as well. I don't remember the model number (5 yrs old) but the FCC ID from the remote is EZSDEI474V. Any help would be appreciated. I really want my alarm working again. Thanks.
