Car Alarms: 2008 Grand Prix with factory remote start, resident technicians, remote start

i just bought a 2008 Grand Prix that came with a factory remote start.  i am looking at installing an Audiovox XR09100 and was curious as to how difficult this is going to be.  could you enlighten me?  is it easier or more difficult with the factory item???

I unfortunately don't know the
system you are working with to advise
you properly on it's functions,
features or trouble shooting
information. Better to check with a tech
