Nissan Repair: key light flashing and wont turn over, nissan micra, key light

hello.i have a nissan micra k12 1000cc with an inteligent key problem.the red key light is flashing constantley on the dash board and doesnt turn over so do you have any ideas for me.thankyou

Hi Colin -

I believe the immobilzer system kicked on.

Have you changed you keys recently, or made new ones?

Replaced the battery in the key remote?

If yes to the above, you will have to get the remote re-programmed.
