Car Alarms: 2001 Mitsubishi Eclipse spyder gt car alarm wont turn off car wont start, mitsubishi eclipse spyder, mitsubishi eclipse spyder gt

Question
i just got my car out of the shop where i was told the battery was unplugged during repair. driving home was ok because the mechanic turned it on at the shop, but the next time i tried to get in my car,the alarm went off,and i cant turn it off. i cant crank the engine either. after a few minutes the alarm willl stop, just to reset itself and go off again if im still sitting in the drivers seat. I haven't been able to start the car since. Help!!

Answer
You'll need to set off the alarm for a few seconds.
then, look under the dash area for a button or, a toggle
switch. When you locate it, turn on the ignition
key, press and hold in the button (little
spring loaded micro button, red or black possibly)
until the alarm chirps 1 time. This should over ride
the system, and only the keyless entry part,
if installed, would still be operating.
The LED (light emiting diode) light in the dash
should also go on solid.

At this point. the alarm would have reset.
If this had a starter kill relay installed,
it would now be opened, and the engine would
turn over when tried. This is override/reset.

You would repeat these steps to go back to
user mode.

Let me know what you discover.
