QuestionI recently purchased a 200 Honda Passport with remote start already installed. I only received one remote and a few weeks ago the buttons started to stick causing the alarm to set itself or go off constantly.
Not knowing what to do I opened my back hatch window and drove around like that for awhile as whoever installed it set it to automatically arm itself after 10 seconds. Needless to say, I hit a bump unknowingly and the next stop I made I got out and to my surprise the alarm set. Sucks cause the remote was at home and I was 30 miles away.
Regardless, I found to wires under the dash and tapped them together a couple times and miraculously was able to disarm the system and start it up.
The wires are presently still tied together and I just bought a used remote. How can I erase the old program on this remote and reprogram it to my car? (prooe3)
It would also be nice to know how to make it so the alarm doesn't set itself.
