Car Alarms: Car wont start because of alarm?, stable power supply, car wont start

Question
Hello there, I own a 97 Honda Civic equipped with a car alarm. Problem is: Every now and then the car wont start. Sometimes, I jiggle the battery cable and it chirps once, then I am able to start the car again. I dont use the alarm anymore, so I almost want to take it off. Is there a specific way to handle this? Is there an easy way to disable the alarm? The car is also equipped with a security chip which must be in to start the car. I have read some of your other answers and drew conclusions but not sure what I should do. Thanks for anything or any answers you may provide!

Answer
Start with new and SOLID pattery power. Replace that freyed
cable to start with. The alarm is simply reacting
to loss of ground or power and resets itself each time.
I'd look into that before disabling it
alltogether.

The "chip" device is not stock or factory so that's
also dependent on a stable power supply.

Change out the bad cable and see if all
is corrected.
