Car Alarms: Alpine SEC 8082 alarm/ 92 Acura Vigor, acura vigor, blown fuse

Question
hello, hope someone can help,

after storing this car for a few years (disconnected the battery, so brain memory erased; remotes do not work), I recently brought it back out to drive; the alarm system had stopped working due to a blown fuse (from yellow battery line), so after replacing the fuse, any reconnection of the battery terminals results in the alarm going into a constant state of "panic", which does not respond to the manual disarm instructions (turn ignition to "on" position, turn on the "valet" switch). There has to be a way to reset the alarm brain, right?  With the remotes nonfunctional, and the system unresponsive to the manual disarm instructions, what can I do to disarm the system, allowing me to reprogram the remotes?

Thanks much,

Neil

Answer
Nope, sorry.
On this one, the best thing here is
to go to my installers forum at
www.installsupport.com and see if
my resident technicians there can assist
with this project. I don't know enough
on this system to advise you properly.

Good luck there.
