Car Alarms: lost key and alarm pad, key switch, percentage chance

Question
I lost my keys and alarm/key pad to my factory alarm 1995 Cadillac.  GM cut me a new set of keys but my car doesn't start apparently because I need to disable the alarm.  Do I need a GM PLJX bypass module or some other device?

Answer
Ms. Clare,
Probably not unless you can get it to start at
least long enough to program the bypass module.

Ya'see, the happy coincidence here is this module
can save your ability to drive a car with a bad key
switch PASSLOCK reader.

But there is no guaranty it will work. They simply
have a 90% track record of doing so in your particular
circumstance. The module is dependent on your current
ability to start the engine so it can be programmed to
take the place of the sensor in your key switch.

So as I said, if your vehicle is still able to be
started I think you have a high percentage chance
that you are good to go with the PLJX bypass module.

But it's "cart before the horse " here.
Has to start at least a bit of time to get it
to bypass for good.

Sorry, not all the news is good at times here.
