Motorcycle Repair: longevity of a engine, harley davidson motorcycle, panka

im interested in getting a answer about how long/how many miles should i expect to get out of a new harley davidson motorcycle say a 2004 heritage under normal operating circumstances...which include proper oil chnages and general care and not abusing the bike.....i know there is no majic number but i am reading alot about people rebuilding top ends at 30000 miles and so forth....what kinda milage should i expect before having to do major work

this is a tad bit too difficult to say, Ive personally seen a 1990 FLTR go 210,000 and still needs nothing, on the other hand, ive seen factory defects, and bikes return after 30 miles, because gaskets were not installed correct from the factory. So again, much too hard to tell...
