Car Alarms: ScyTek Effective Range, ac cobras, scytek alarms

I am looking to purchase a 2-way key less alarm for my daughters 67 Mustang and see that your a fan of ScyTek alarms. I read a review where the user stated the range could use improvement. I cannot find any solid numbers on this units effective range. Can you tell me the useful/effective range on the Astra 777 for example and give me your recommendation? I would like a good reliable 2-way system with fair to good range meaning 1/2 a mile and up if available. Lastly, can you recommend a good reliable door actuator for this old pony?

Anywho, Yep, like that system and the Micro 2 way FM system
too. Between them, I'd have to say the 777's over all
performace is better at approx 1500 solid feet of
2 way capability. (line of sight) decreases depending
on obstructions etc...

Either would be a fine choice, and a nice heavy duty
central locking kit for around 70.00 added in would
do the trick for the Pony! ;>)

There are of course more expensive and eloborate,
but for my money, I do like these 2 mid priced,
and flexable systems if just a decent alarm
is required.

Hope this helped and by the way I am looking
for someone getting rid of any worn out
AC cobras if you are of the mind to discard one?

PS. Add a micro wave motion detector for best results
security wise with these 2 too. Good all around
security at that point.
