Car Alarms: Checkmate KD 150 alarm, keyless entry system, remotes

Question
I have this keyless entry system for my car and it has worked fine for many years.  Recently, when you click to unlock the doors the only thing that happens is that the alarm goes off and you have to rearm by clicking the valet key.  That turns off the alarm and allowws me to start the car but when I get out ogf the car and click the button to lock the doors nothing happens.

Short of first hand inspection, I would
advise you to pull the old system
and replace it with a new one, with a
fresh set of remotes and go from there.

Trying to patch up an older system can be pricey
comparred to a brand new one, and problematic
if replacement parts are not available from Checkmate
to repair what you currently have.
