Car Alarms: alarm wont work, viper security system, keyless entry systems

Question
I have a Dodge Neon and a viper security system. The alarm works but at times it does not work. Like when i go out of range and then come back in range the alarm system does not work it like i am still out of range but i am standing right next to the car trying to unlock it. What is wrong with it and how do i fix it?
